Who we are

JamaicaCrypto.com is an independent information and comparison website covering cryptocurrency in Jamaica. We are a publisher. We are not a broker, exchange, custodian, adviser or money services business, and we never hold customer funds or open accounts on anyone's behalf. You can reach us at contact@jamaica-crypto.com.

What we collect

Nothing you type. This site has no account system, no login, no comment form, no newsletter sign-up and no contact form. There is nowhere on this website for you to submit personal information, so we do not collect any.

Ordinary server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records technical request data — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and device type. This is generated automatically by the web server, is used for security and for understanding which pages are read, and is retained for a limited period by the host.

Email you send us. If you write to us, we hold that email and any information in it for as long as needed to deal with your message and to keep a record of corrections. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list, because we do not operate one.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising network. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.

Where we use aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful, it is configured to report totals rather than to identify individuals. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than from a third-party font service, which means loading a page on this site does not send a request to another company.

If you would rather block everything anyway, every modern browser lets you refuse cookies and JavaScript. This site is built as static pages and remains fully readable with JavaScript disabled — the only things that stop working are the mobile navigation toggle and the hero route selector.

Affiliate and outbound links

Some links to third-party platforms on this site are commercial partnerships. When you follow one and open an account, the operator may pay us a fee. That arrangement can involve the operator recording that the visit came from us, typically through a parameter in the link or a cookie set on their own site.

Two things follow. First, we do not receive your personal information as part of that — we may learn that a referral occurred, not who you are. Second, once you click through, you are on somebody else's website and their privacy policy governs what happens next. We would encourage you to read it before you register anywhere, on this site's recommendation or any other.

All outbound links on this site carry a nofollow attribute. Our commercial arrangements are disclosed in the footer of every page and explained on how we review, and they do not affect our rankings.

Third-party services we rely on

• Hosting. Our host processes server logs as described above in order to serve the site.
• Email. Mail sent to our address is processed by our email provider.
• No embedded third-party media. We do not embed videos, maps, social widgets, comment systems, chat tools or tracking pixels, all of which would otherwise load third-party code into your browser.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing, most data requests are simple to answer. If you have written to us and want to know what we hold, want it corrected, or want it deleted, email contact@jamaica-crypto.com and we will deal with it. If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights — including under Jamaica's data protection framework or the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation — those rights apply and we will honour them.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. It is a static publication with no database of user records, which removes most of the risk that ordinarily attaches to a website. Email correspondence is held in an ordinary business email account with access limited to the people who run the desk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top. We do not maintain a mailing list, so the page itself is the notice.
